lunch

Leanne and I went out for lunch one day with a family friends friend. he took us to this amazing restaurant where you get salade, beef with some amazing sauce and then french fries. it was SO good. when we got the bill, it was 64euros. that meant that each plate cost about 21 euros. like, this meal was good but it wasnt worth 21 euros. I was shocked but pretended not to be and pretended like i knew it was going to be that much and that I had no problem paying that much. inside, i was not very happy. i couldnt believe i had just paid 21 euros for my lucnh (actually, Leanne paid for my lunch, so i didnt even have to pay for it.. haha)

we then went to a department store very much like holt renfrew in Canada. we were looking at the price tags, playing the price tag game and it was crazy how much this items were selling for. i could NEVER imagine paying those ridiculous prices for some of those items.

It was great that Eric (our family friends friend) showed us around a bit. its nice to have a connection with someone (even if its a weird connection) from home. it makes you feel like youre closer to home than you actually are.
