today is remembrance day. i went to the arc de triomphe in paris which is zhere napolen (everything in france has to do with a napolean) buried some soldiers and they had the best celebrqtion i have ever seen. there were probably about 10 000 people there, about 1000 police and about 2000 soldiers and 4 mqrching bqnds. it was awesome and nuts.
i also went to see the moulin rouge today. it was pretty awesome. while sitting in an outdoor cafe ( which they have on every corner of every street in paris) i was people watching and a girl noticed my kings sweatshirt ( whiwh i have been wearing since i got here) and told me she was from london and her friend went to western.. so, we got talking and it turns out she knew a lot of the same people i did which was too weird. seriously though, what the chances of that happening? its almost a negative chance. you should NEVER run into anyone you can make connections with in europe. its just not possible but its already happened twice. the guy im trqvelling with right knows knows someone i went to elementqry school with. too weird. AND, he also knew the guy that the girls from london knew that we were talking about. so, me and this guy and the girls from queens all knew the sqme guy. that should not be possible.
i also had my second crepe with nutella in it and it was so good.
thats about all i have to report. I will write more lqter. i am still trying to get to mass at notre dqme. iĆ¹ll get there..
your francophone,
