alright, so i had a pretty eventful weekend. first of all, yesterday i went to mass at notre dame which was totally in french and not understood but it was still really cool. i then went to versailles to visit the kings castle and man, was that ever cool. there was a huge lake in the middle of the bqckyard and the house was incredible. i spent most of the day there going thru the grounds and checking everything out.. natalie (another girl in swap) and i took a blanket and right after sunset, sat under the eiffel tower. the eiffel tower is lite up the whole night but every hour on the hour for 10 mins in spqrkles like a christmas tree would and it is soo cool. it was hard to believe that i was actually in paris lying on a blanket looking at the tour eiffel.
today, me and this girl from vqncouver toured the kings chapel and it was cool; we went on a guided tour and it turns out you learn a lot more from those tours then you would if you were going thru on your own. we learned all about stain glass windows and how to "read" churchs and the pictures on the stain glass.. it was greqt.; the tour guide was a little dramatic ( no no, she was very dramatic) somewhat like she was doing an interpretive dance to her own tour.. it was a little odd..; but i guess thats what you expect from a lady who gives tours of chapels..
i cant wait to get settled so that i can empty out my suitcase and weqr real clothes instead of practical clothes. i am seriously getting sick of my kings sweater and i think i will burn it when i get home because i now hate weqring it.
i did not get to germany the other day but i did get to go to church so im not that upset.. i start working on Wed and im looking forard to that.. hopefully going back to making minimum wage will be worth it.

mandy

BONJOUR MANDY!!!!
I love reading your blogs and keeping up with what you are doing! It's all so exciting! I'm jealous that you got to see the eiffel tower all lit up and twinkling...it's one of the things I didn't get to do during my short time there. It sounds amazing!!!
Keep blogging...
Hopefully I"ll talk to you soon!
